I was reflecting on Neil deGrasse Tyson's comments regarding Inventing Tomorrow. The comment was made (paraphrasing) that going to a classroom and asking what children want to be when they grow up, no one wants to be an astronaut anymore. This hit me pretty hard, as I remember having this dream myself.
Last night, my three year old looked up at the moon and said "Daddy, I want to go to the moon". For me this was one of those special moments that I probably won't ever forget, especially if, some day, he does make it to the moon or somewhere else, out there in space.
